Dr. Distefano is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in providing the most technologically advanced treatments to patients suffering from disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Distefano is a former aerospace engineer who earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After earning his degree, Dr. Distefano completed an internship and his residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in trauma injuries at the Montefiore Medical Center before establishing his private practice in New Jersey.
Dr. Distefano is known for performing new minimally invasive procedures and utilizing the most advanced technology to provide patients with the best possible outcome. He has extensive academic experience teaching orthopaedic surgery residents at Montefiore Medical Center about cutting-edge procedures, like ceramic-on-ceramic hip replacements or computer navigation total joint replacements. Due to this experience, many of the procedures Dr. Distefano offers are available only in a formal university setting.
